La creatividad es una fuerza combinatoria, la música no queda sólo en melodías, la literatura no solamente está en los libros, sino que se apoya en nuestra capacidad de fundir, por lo general inconscientemente, conceptos, recuerdos, información, conocimiento, ideas y sentimientos únicamente nuestros. Una mente creativa y excepcional entonces, es una mente llena de matices y con infinidad de combinaciones posibles. Una forma distinta de apreciar el poder de un genio musical, por ejemplo, es mirando su parte intelectual, cualquiera que sea su ámbito, su habilidad o talento. 

Tal es el caso de David Bowie, el legendario músico británico ha sido reconocido como uno de los más grandes exponentes del medio, pero además como una de las mentes creativas más espectaculares que se han visto; en su tiempo libre, Bowie dibujaba, pintaba, esculpía y escribía. Sus artistas favoritos eran Tintoretto, John Bellany, Erich Heckel, Picasso y Michael Ray Charles.
